The Vision Care Hub is an interactive learning exhibition hub showcasing the impact of technology, lifestyle, environment and physiology on eye-health.
It aims to:
- educate the public on the environmental and habitual factors affecting their eyes
- allow the public to better understand the possible factors leading to poor vision and the ways to prevent and manage them.
- educate the public on the importance of exercising personal responsibility in maintaining good eye-health, including going for regular eye examinations.
One of the community project carried out in the Vision Care Hub is the Vision Care Learning Journey designed and developed for different age group, ranging from pre-school children to adults & elderly.

Presentation — About the eyes
Learn about the eye structures, different possible abnormalities of the eyes as well as the importance of Comprehensive Eye Examination for all individuals, especially the elderly through a presentation carried out by the centre’s professional optometrist.
Tour of the 5-Stage Learning Journey
Join us at the vision care hub for a walk through of the eye’s age starting from a newborn eye all the way to the aging eye, where eye diseases and degeneration start to creep in. There will also be activities for the participants to take part in during tour of the different stages.
Tour of the Ministry of Manpower Interactive Learning Station
Find out more about the best place to install your television, the ideal type of lamp for your office use at this interactive station where mock-up rooms are set up to give you a better idea and understanding of the lightings, ergonomics, and visual display units applications.
Experiential Activities
Experience some of the tests carried out in an Optometric Comprehensive Eye Examination.
